The Most Beautiful Woodland Baby Shower

Surprise! I'm pregnant! I know, I have been silent for much too long. After I got pregnant I was really sick for months, and after the sickness cleared I was honestly just exhausted. I've barely kept up with work let alone running a blog. I hear pregnancy can do that to ya!

This past weekend my sister threw me the most beautiful shower. So beautiful that I decided I needed to pull myself together and break the silence because this baby shower deserved to be shared with the world! After all it took place at the barn that started it all. The barn that led to the name Barn Birdie- our wedding barn! She let me in on a little bit of the planning because I'm nosy like that but Annie (with the help of my mom, mom-in-law and sister-in-law) is the one who really made the whole thing come together.

I snuck over to the barn early to grab some shots of all the details, and a guy I pretty much consider my uncle, Joe, took some beautiful shots during the shower. My pics aren't too shabby for a camera phone with a good bit of editing but his are the real deal!

Picking Excursions

One of my favorite things about the vintage/antique business is the buying. It's not like buying in the traditional sense, more like going on picking excursions. I get to spend time with my family, stopping off at some of our favorite locations and finding new treasure troves. We meet some interesting characters along the way and always have a good time finding really cool stuff. Here are a few things we've found on our first day, hopefully we'll find even more tomorrow.
